Except for question number 8, 10, 12 and 15, here the responses were reverse. The range of possible scores was on the 18 questions of time management scale, 7- 35 on the short range planning sub scale, on the time attitudes sub scale and on the long range planning sub scale.
Higher values on the scale correspond to better time management practices. I make a list of the things that I have to do each day. I make a schedule of the activities that I have to do on work days. I plan the day before I start it. I write a set of goals for myself for each day.
I have a clear idea of what I want to accomplish during the next week. I spend time each day planning. I set and honor priorities. I continue unprofitable routines or activities. I believe that there is room for improvement in the way I manage my time. I find myself doing things which interfere with my college work simply because I hate to say -No to people.
I feel I am in charge of my own time, by and large. On an average class day I spend more time with personal grooming than doing college work. I make constructive use of time.

When organising meetings, do you advise attendees of the completion as well as the starting time? Do you make a practice of visiting people in their offices rather than inviting them to your office? Do you insist on appointments for people wishing to see you?
Do you take measures to prevent telephone interruptions when interviewing or in meetings? Are you able to effectively handle long-winded callers? Do you schedule time for physical exercise at least four times per week? Are you able to relax in your free time without worrying about your work? Do people know the best times to reach you? Can someone else undertake your activities if you are not available?
Do you start and finish projects on time? Are you able to keep up with all your reading and use a pen, pencil or your finger as a pacer when reading? Do you avoid taking work home or staying late at the office to finish it? Are you aware of and take steps to avoid time-wasting activities? Do you avoid becoming involved in other peoples work doing things that they could or should be doing themselves?
Do you take steps to reduce either the amount of paperwork or the time spent on it? Then total your points and see where you fit on the scale: You manage your time very well and are in control of most situations. You manage your time well some of the time.
